Jarry Singla
piano, prepared piano, composition
Jarry Singla studied in Cologne,
New York and Canada, his teachers include John Taylor
and Richard Beirach. Since 1990 he’s been playing
with John Schröder, Hayden Chisholm, Jochen Rückert,
Ratzo B.Harris, Sonny Fortune, Celine Rudolph... Worked
in projects combining music and theatre, performing
at the German Consulate N.Y., "Theaterhaus Jena",
„Theater an der Ruhr“ in Mülheim. In
1998 Jarry Singla formed the group «blumenbein»
with Julian Argüelles (sax/UK), Christian Ramond
(b/D) and Peter Kahlenborn (dr/D). Two CDs with Jarry´s
original compositions: „blumenbein“ (JazzHausMusik
/ Cologne) and „Planetarium“ (Shaa Music
/ Cologne). Features on several radio and TV stations,
Mexico-tour (concerts at the Jazzfestival of the European
Union). 2004: he performed compositions for solo-piano
and prepared piano in a double-concert with pianist
